A new addition

Well, we have a new addition to our family! To all our relatives, you have a new grandson/nephew/cousin/great-grandson/third cousin, twice removed/etc. I don't think we realized how much work a new puppy was going to be, but the more time that goes by the easier he gets. He's quite smart, and has already started to get the idea of the whole potty-training AKA "don't pee on our carpet or we'll make you wear Huggies." The only downside is the sleep we aren't getting (I think someone said this would be a good warmup for kids???). He mostly sleeps through the night, with a little bit of whimpering. But if we ignore him he quiets down quickly. But in the morning (e.g., around 6 AM) he does get pretty restless and wants us to get up. It's early, but we used to get up at that time anyway for work. Now if we can only get our Alpha Cat to be a little nicer to our new addition :(

Anyway, here's a few pictures we've taken up to this point...

Ben and Katie,
Cute, cute, cute:) Can't wait to meet him Friday. He looks like a ball of cuddly fur. I hope Duke can adjust quickly. Does he know he doesn't rule the roost anymore?
